Use a proxy server with Splunk Secure Gateway
If you're using a proxy, open port 443 outbound to http.us-east-1.spacebridge.splunkcx.com to enable Splunk Secure Gateway.
If you're using a proxy server, the server must be a forward HTTPS proxy and support HTTP CONNECT. The following proxies are tested and verified as compatible:
- Squid Forward Proxy
- Apache Forward Proxy
- Nginx Forward Proxy
If you're using another forward proxy and running into issues, there might be a configuration issue. See Troubleshoot Splunk Secure Gateway Connection Issues for more information about troubleshooting proxy issues.
Set up a proxy
You can set up a proxy by following these steps.
- In the Splunk Secure Gateway app, click on the Administration tab, go to Deployment configuration, and then click on Advanced settings.
- Set the HTTP proxy and HTTPS proxy for your proxy server.
- Click Apply changes
